Heiden Bowman is currently the Deputy Director of Center for Intellectual Property, a joint development center for knowledge-based business development between University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. Previously he was Innovation Director for the Qatar Science & Technology Park, where he was responsible for driving innovation strategy and intellectual property policy. He is co-founder of the Gothenburg International Bioscience Business School (GIBBS), CIP Professional Services and he has also developed CIP FORUM, which has grown to one of the leading knowledge-based business events worldwide. Current interests include the development of next generation university innovation systems and IP-based open platforms in the telecommunication sector. Mr. Heiden holds degrees in engineering and technology management.

Philippe Chereau holds a Doctorate in Management Science from Aix-Marseille University, and a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School. He is a permanent Associate professor of strategy and entrepreneurship, and scientific director of the MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and MSc International Business at SKEMA Business School. He has specialized in strategic management of innovation and in the governance of Local Innovation Systems. He also regularly lectures in executive education programs. He has been an entrepreneur in the field of life sciences in Europe and has held positions in international business development, general management and strategic consulting. As a scholar, he conducts research on the relationships between competitive strategy, innovation and performance in SMEs. He has also been regularly involved in European projects as expert in entrepreneurship and innovation. He has published case studies on internationalization and innovation strategies, academic papers on strategic management of innovation in SMEs, and has co-authored Le Conseil Stratégique pour l’Entreprise, published in 2014.

Svetlana Klessova is Director and senior innovation consultant at inno TSD, France. After starting her carrier at Harvard University as a visiting research fellow in 1990, she has moved into innovation management consultancy. She has 20+ years of experience in innovation issues, entrepreneurship and project management. Svetlana has been leader or senior consultant on 60+ science, technology and innovation-related projects with R&D academic and industrial partners all over the world. Her track record also includes coordination of 9 projects funded by the European Commission under the European Union’s Framework Programmes for research, technological development and demonstration. She is responsible for Intellectual Property Rights/Exploitation Board in a Horizon 2020 research and innovation collaborative project with 15 partners. Svetlana is scientific coordinator of Health2Market project.

Antonis Stamatogiannakis has been a professor of Marketing at IE Business School - IE University since 2011. He holds a PhD in Management from INSEAD. His research has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, and Human Resource Management, as well as in numerous international conference proceedings. Antonis has received external funding from several international organizations (European, Asian, and American), as well as from industry sources in order to carry out both research and management training.  At Health-2-Market, Antonis was the Scientific Coordinator for IE Business School-IE University. Jeremy Bray works on the European Commission's health research and innovation policy, and its implementation through the funding programme Horizon 2020, a 7 year, €80bn programme of which €7.5 billion is devoted to health R&I. The programme spans the full range of funding opportunities from grants supporting collaborative projects and small businesses, through to large scale partnerships with national agencies and industry, and all the way to loans financing innovative R&D. He previously worked at the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and trained as an infectious disease immunologist.

Claire Bastien graduated from the University of Paris with an MD & PhD. She also has a master in Human Biology including pharmacology, methodology of clinical trials, biostatistics and post grades in Strategic Marketing (INSEAD, France) and Finance (I E Business School – Spain).

Her professional career commenced as a GP and gynaecologist surgeon and then she joined the health care industry.

She has experience of working for “Blue chip” Pharmaceutical companies, service providers and biopharmaceutical start-ups.

Her extensive background enabled her to develop multiple skills from operational (medical affairs, sales & marketing, corporate communication and business development) to general management.

Since 2004, she has implemented and developed, starting from ground level, the commercial operations of three Biopharmaceutical Companies in the Iberian Peninsula.

Dr Bastien is currently an associate professor in sales & marketing with IE business school in Madrid, focusing on sales courses and marketing in healthcare. She has received an award from the European Foundation in Management Development for writing the multimedia business case “Novartis, Commercial strategy for success”.

Caterina Buonocore joined APRE in 2001 as National Contact Point for Societal Challenge Health, Wellbeing and demographic change and for Joint Research Centre for HORIZON 2020.  She is currently Head of Unit for H2020 Italian National Contact Point network and Institutional relations.  She has worked in the Health European Commission Programme Committee for Health during FP 7. She graduated in Political Science and International relations and attended a Post graduate course in European policies and EU funding programmes. She has started in 2001 with managing the Innovation Relay Centre project (IRC) by DG Enterprise and has been managing several projects dedicated to foster Small and Medium Enterprises involvement during FP5  and FP 6.  From 2006 she was nominated National Contact Point for the programme dedicated to Life sciences, Biotechnology and Genomics. She worked on several support measures dedicated to the Health and Life Science Sector such as SMEs Go Life Sciences and FITforHealth. She is involved since 2010 in the Health National Contact Point Network called HEALTHNCPNET dedicated to the strengthening of National Contact Point Skills all over the Europe and outside.

Peter Häfner is senior innovation manager with engage AG. He leads consulting projects for public and private clients in Germany in the field of innovation management and technology commercialization. His main focus are projects concerning the stimulation and support of technology-oriented spin-offs from higher education and research institutions. He is head of engage’s Leipzig and Berlin offices.

Prior to joining engage AG in 2010, Peter Häfner studied Physics and Business Administration at Chemnitz University of Technology with a focus on marketing, innovation management and psychology. He gained his first entrepreneurial experiences in 1992 by founding a company in the social sector. Subsequently, he was in charge of marketing and sales for a service provider specialised in consulting and advanced training.

Since 2003, Mr. Häfner supported university spin-offs and was involved in the training of entrepreneurs. He was in charge of setting up structures for efficiently identifying commercially relevant technologies and supporting particularly technology-oriented spin-offs from the universities Chemnitz, Freiberg, Mittweida and Zwickau as CEO of SAXEED Center for Entrepreneurship.

David Pardoe

David Pardoe started his career with SmithKline Beecham as a medicinal chemist and progressed through the organisation to lead drug discovery projects in neurodegeneration, pain and cardiovascular therapeutic areas.  His research interests have delivered four candidate molecules into development including frovatriptan for the management of migraine.

On the formation of GlaxoSmithKline, Dave took up a management post in the Technology Development group where he was instrumental in creating new technologies to accelerate drug discovery through integration of microfluidic chemistry and screening systems with automated prediction and decision making algorithms.

After 7 years as a consultant with PA consulting group, working across the pharmaceutical value chain in diagnostics, devices and drugs, Dave moved MRC Technology as Head of Growth Projects.  In this role, he works to build new business and collaborative models that deliver advancement of new therapeutics to patients through building collaborations formed from research charities and foundations, academia and industry.

Krisztina Varga-Toth, Project Manager at Europa Media, graduated from the University of Debrecen as an Agricultural Engineer (Economist). She has six years of experience in the development and management of EU-funded projects under FP7 and CIP-IEE programmes. Previously, she acted as the National Contact Point for Twinning at the National Development Agency of Hungary, where she has gained hands-on experience in international affairs and EU policies. Ms. Varga-Toth is the coordinator of the Horizon 2020 MY-WAY project (MY-WAY: Strengthening the web entrepreneurship ecosystem and the services offered across the chain of actors by actively engaging student networks and student entrepreneurship centres) which aims at integrating student networks into the web entrepreneurship ecosystem to support the next generation of tech entrepreneurs

Manfred Horst studied medicine in Munich, Montpellier and London and specialised in Allergic Diseases at the University Clinic in Montpellier, where he also completed his PhD. After earning his MBA at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, Manfred spent 7 years with Ciba-Geigy and Novartis, Basel, two years as General Manager of a startup in the health insurance business in Munich, and up until now 15 years with Merck & Co./MSD.

Since 2004, Manfred has been in his current function as Director Licensing & External Research Europe for MSD, where he scouts for Licensing opportunities and manages alliances in a number of European countries.

Previously Dr Berrie was both the Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief of the Biotechnology Investment Group and prior to that he was Head of Global Intelligence and Business Development for Nature Publishing Group. Dr. Berrie was a Director of the Investigational Drug database (IDdb) at Current Drugs (now Thomson Reuters Pharma) and has worked at Schering AG and GlaxoWellcome, is a Chartered Chemist (CChem), a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and was the recipient of a European DG Post-Doctoral Fellowship upon completing his Ph.D. at Imperial College, London. Ettore Federici is a medical physician, who graduated from the University of Bologna. His background is mainly commercial, sales and marketing.

After having attended the School of Medicine and Surgery, he started a 25+ year career in the Life Science Industry, starting as medical rep in a diagnostics company.

Dr Bruno Reynolds, Consultant – Bruno completed his MSc in Neuroscience at University College London and a PhD in Developmental Biology at Cambridge University. Following this he held a postdoctoral research position at Oxford University. Bruno then spent five years in Portugal where he studied for an MBA and founded a technology transfer company that manages IP and business development opportunities for Life Science research institutes in the greater Lisbon area. Bruno joined Isis Enterprise in October 2013 and has worked on a number of projects spanning different industries and geographies. Gábor Kitley is co-founder and CEO of Europa Media. Mr. Kitley graduated from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, as a geologist with a second master degree in Environmental Law. He has extensive knowledge and experience on the technical and financial rules and management of EC projects, in particular Framework Programme projects, but he has managed and coordinated projects under IEE, LIFE III and LLP programmes as well. Mr. Kitley has been a key speaker in Europa Media’s training courses and thematic conferences since 2004. His training expertise lies within the financial aspects of FP7 including audits and coordination of EC projects. Dr. Efthymisiadios Altsits (BSc in economics, MSc in marketing, MSc in IT and management, PhD in simulation and decision making) is a research expert at the Research Group Marketing at the KU Leuven, teaching brand management in the Masters program and managing CONCORT, the largest EU initiative on consumer science with partners like Philips, INSEAD, the London Business School, PwC, Stanford, Unilever. Efthymios is also partner in CIPTEC, a large H2020 RIA action on transport. His personal research interests lie at the intersection of consumer behavior and social innovation.

Among his other appointments, Efthymios is sitting on the board of White Research, he is a fellow at the academy of the leading ICT think-tank OpenForum Europe (Google, IBM, Oracle, Deloitte and Redhat) and the manager of EN-NOISIS, a national e-health project in the Alzheimer’s disease community work field. He is also a pro bono reviewer for scientific journals and active reviewer for the European Commission on Horizon 2020 calls.

He has more than ten years of experience in various EU initiatives (FP7 projects, tender contracts) in technological, health related and socioeconomic areas. In addition to his other previous posts, he has served as the business analyst of EUROMEDICA and as project manager for Charite Berlin, the largest academic hospital in Europe.

Gianluigi Di Bello is currently acting as National Contact Point on Horizon 2020 for the programmes related to Future and emerging technologies, Access to Finance and Spreading Excellence. He has track records of successful preparation and management of several EU funded projects in FP7 and H2020. He joined APRE in 2011 as FP7 National Contact Point entrusted with the programmes dedicated to clusters and regional dimension (i.e., Regions of knowledge, Research potential, Coherent development of research policy). Before joining APRE he worked at the European Commission - DG R&I as programme evaluation expert and at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU. Previously he covered the role of project manager in a national government agency in charge of the management of EU cross-border R&I projects. He holds an international master of economics and management from SDA Bocconi Management School, a MA in European economic integration and BA in International Sciences. In 2007 He carried out a one-year research programme at the Catholic University of Leuven.

Mr Bruno Mourenza holds a Master Degree on Business Administration and Management. From 2008 to 2011, he works in Brussels for the Italian Chamber of Commerce and for the International Office for Research Projects. He was nominated in 2011 as Italian National Contact Point (NCP) for Health. He works also on training activities from FP7 and Horizon 2020 and on the Enterprise Europe Network.

Sèverine Ouvry is an expert in innovation. Her background as a researcher in the United States and her experience in a French Innovation Agency has allowed her to gain experience to help SMEs, academic researchers and other stakeholders build multi-disciplinary research projects and innovation services. She regularly supports SMEs and academic researchers to determine the best financial path to fund their projects, including European funding opportunities. These include research and innovation actions, innovation actions, SME Instrument, Fast Track Instrument….Sèverine joined inno as a consultant in economic development and European project manager.
